However, it’s worth noting that during testing, the peak charging rate achieved was up to 62kW when connected to a high-capacity 115kW charger and a 350kW charger. This indicates that the actual charging performance may vary depending on the specific charging infrastructure being utilized.

However, there are notable limitations to consider. The T90 EV’s rear-wheel drive configuration is attributed to the placement of its 150kW electric motor at the rear of the truck. Furthermore, the vehicle’s ground clearance is quite low, measuring just 187mm. In comparison, other pickup trucks such as the Isuzu D-Max offer 220mm of ground clearance, while the Ford Ranger slightly surpasses that with 232mm.

The T90 EV’s higher curb weight helps it maintain traction and stability, as long as momentum is maintained. However, the absence of four-wheel drive becomes more noticeable and problematic on wet and slippery surfaces.

The instant torque of the T90 EV can cause the wheels to spin quickly, exacerbating traction issues. The traction control system, while present, may not respond as quickly as desired, requiring cautious driving in such conditions.
If your intended use of the T90 EV primarily involves occasional off-road driving on relatively firm but uneven surfaces, it should suffice. However, it’s important to note that the MAXUS T90 EV is not intended to be a dedicated off-road vehicle.

Ultimately, the performance on different terrains will depend on the tires used. The traction control system can sometimes be inconsistent, cutting power too eagerly, which can be slightly frustrating. However, with the right set of quality tires, there is no reason why the T90 EV couldn’t handle most light-duty 4×4 tasks.
